OpenAI has officially announced its plans to establish a new office in Singapore by the end of this year. This move is part of the company’s broader global expansion strategy, which also includes the opening of new offices in Paris, Brussels, and New York.

As a key hub for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, the Singapore office will play a pivotal role in supporting OpenAI’s growing customer and partner base across APAC. The team will focus on strengthening collaborations with regional governments, businesses, and institutions, ensuring that OpenAI’s advanced AI tools and solutions are effectively integrated into the local landscape.

During the announcement made at Tech Week Singapore, OpenAI emphasized Singapore’s leadership in technology and artificial intelligence. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman remarked that Singapore has solidified its position as a key player in the global AI ecosystem. “We are excited to collaborate with Singapore’s government and its vibrant AI community as we expand our presence in the region,” Altman stated.

OpenAI plans to hire for five to ten roles in Singapore by the end of the year, with current openings listed on its website, including positions in sales, customer success, security, and technical support.

This expansion underscores the increasing demand for AI-driven innovations in the Asia-Pacific region, further positioning Singapore as a strategic center for the development and adoption of advanced AI technologies.
